These are polycyclic aromatic compounds containing a tetralin moiety, which consists of a benzene fused to a cyclohexane (S)-Isosclerone has been detected, but not quantified in, nuts. This could make (S)-isosclerone a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (S)-Isosclerone.
